Four police officers are expected at the Bondo law courts today, Wednesday June 15, 2022, to face various charges including assault and disobeying lawful summons.
This follows an investigation by the Independent Policing Oversight Authority into an incident in which Mr. Samuel Odongo Okwero, was inflicted with injuries during a routine police stop at Usenge Township, Siaya County on December 7, 2016.
A police Constable is expected in court today in connection with a rape incident at Sega police post, Siaya County.
Investigations by the Independent Policing Oversight Authority revealed that a woman was raped at gunpoint, inside a police cell where she was being held following an arrest on accusations of not wearing a face mask.
Mr Wycliffe Vincent Owuor, was shot dead on March 24, 2020 in Kayole, Nairobi.
